According to the PanGu team, they have been working on a jailbreak for the iOS 10.3.1, which supposedly wears the codename Janus. People were expecting it to be released immediately after the launch of the iOS 10.3.2 version update. Needless to say, up until now neither PanGu, nor other famous jailbreaking group managed to release a working iOS 10 jailbreak. Despite this, Luca Todesco succeeded in creating and releasing it to the public.
Why Is It So Hard to Release a Jailbreak?
Together with the iOS 10, Apple has included such security measures that make it almost impossible to find a loophole in the system. The company used a new type of file system that goes by the name APFS. Because of this file, the jailbreakers cannot create a tool that easily.
However, Luca Todesco succeeded. His tool, the Yalu iOS 10, works on iOS 10.1, 10.1.1 and 10.2. It works only with the 64-bit iPhones that were released before the launch of the iPhone 7. It can also work on iPhone 7, but it is only compatible with iOS 10.1 and 10.1.1. The creator of the jailbreak declared that the is not going to release the support for the iOS 10.3.3 included in the Yalu tool because he wants to quit the jailbreaking industry.
What is surprising is that people were, in fact, expecting PanGu to release the jailbreaking tool, and this because back in April, the team was the one that demonstrated an iOS 10.3.1. However, it’s been more than a week since Apple launched the iOS 10.3.2 and the team did not bring anything new. This is quite a bad marketing move, since people will be disappointed in the fact that they are not providing the jailbreak.
Keep in mind that most tools advertised online as being jailbreaks for iOS 10 are fake and they can even infect your device!
