Intel Plans To Make Us Smarter Than Ever

Intel has big  plans for entering the heart of wearable gadgets in technology based Quark and in the tiny computer Intel Edison. So it took a step with  a computer-sized memory card SD-developed in the range of 22 nanometers powered by integrated wireless networking.


The Intel Edison is a general purpose computer, ready to integrate these devices bracelets or headphones. The main processor and a programmable microcontroller take the initiative to manage the entry and exit data and other basic functions. The processor is compatible with Edison chip architecture x86, supports the open Linux operating system and allows multiple operating systems to perform specialized applications. The truly small computer can be connected via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (low energy consumption). It has LPDDR2 memory, NAND flash crowd, and input / output data, which enables application development with open tools.

The Intel showed how to exploit the Edison projecting a standard device from Rest Devices. This is the Mimo Baby, a baby bodysuit that operates as a device internal monitoring (baby monitor), which not only allows parents to hear what happens in the baby’s room, but also to monitor how active it is, if he has made, if and how sleeping. The “smart Bodysuit” will automatically notify the device that the milk has to be heated when the baby wakes and is hungry. The Rest Devices showed bodysuit were demonstrated on stage with the Intel chip and the heater. Incidentally, the first devices of the series Mimo Baby have already pre-ordered.


The same company worked with Autodesk to have the size of a device that heats the milk into the baby’s bottle, to create a three-dimensional model and print it in a 3D printer. This example used the Intel to show how to express creativity with a computer sized Edison.


Reporting system devices made by Intel were also the headphones inside the ear, that support full stereo sound, and record heart rate and pulse, while applications to the phone user monitor indicate the distance traveled and the calories burned . The Intel earbuds flying software company that enables users to organize their fitness program assumes the role of coach when choosing music that matches the desired rate of cardiac function.



Intel has put its own twist since the headphones do not need a battery or other source drawing energy from the microphone connection.


Intel also unveiled a reference system for headset Bluetooth headset battery autonomy of one day, using voice recognition technology company Sensory Inc.
