The change of Google Chrome theme can beautify the use of Internet and make it more fun and personal. In the same way as Windows, Google Chrome gives us the opportunity to change the design of its home page. It is a great feature that delights the fans with the possibility to adjust everything according to their taste. This guide will show you how to install and remove theme in Google Chrome.

How to install a theme?

So, in the beginning, it is necessary to download it first, and you can do it in “Chrome web store” where you also can download add-ons for your browser. To open it, you can use two easy ways:

Open the browser menu and click on “Settings” < “More tools” < “Extensions” and scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “Get more extensions” and click on “Themes” section.

Or paste into the address bar this URL: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/themes and press Enter.

Now, Chrome web store will open and you will see the themes available for download and install in a free form.

To find the right theme, you can use the search box located in the left panel, where you can enter your search query, choose “Themes” option and wait for the results to be displayed.

When you find a suitable theme, choose it and click on “Add to Chrome” button located on the top-right corner.

Wait for a theme to be installed and after that your Google Chrome theme will be changed automatically, and you can view the home page by opening a new tab with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + T.

 

How to remove a theme in Google Chrome?

If you don’t like the theme you set, then remove it in the following way:

Open the Chrome menu < “Settings”, and under “Appearance” section, click “Reset to default theme.”

After that, the main Google Chrome page will have its original appearance.
