How to Install iOS 11 Beta in 3 Easy Steps

If you’re an Apple fan, then you should already know that the Cupertino tech giants announced the next installment in its iOS range at WWDC 2017 almost one month ago. Well, iOS 11 is now available for beta testing, which is a natural step in devising the final stable version of the mobile operating system so that it will be compatible with Apple devices across the world. If you want to test out iOS 11 yourself before the official launch this fall, here’s what you need to do.

1. Backup Your Data

Beta iOS versions shouldn’t cause any harm to your device, but it’s better to be safe than sorry in this case. So the best option is to create a backup of your data with iTunes beforehand. This is also advisable because you might want to revert back to the current version of iOS that you have on your devices, which should be iOS 10.3.2. You know how the old saying goes, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

2. Create a Beta Account

If you’re reading this article looking for a way to install the beta version of iOS 11, you’re most likely not a developer or enrolled in Apple’s public beta testing program. But that can be easily solved. Head on to http://beta.apple.com and create a beta testing account with your Apple ID and password. If you already jumped onto last year’s iOS 10 public beta testing program, you’re already enrolled, so you can skip this step.

3. Download and Install the Beta Version

Everything is pretty self-explanatory from here on out. The Apple beta program website is straightforward, so you will easily find the download button. Then, the installation process is clear as well. Enjoy your beta version of iOS 11!
