A new rumor has surfaced on Weibo claiming that iOS 17, Apple's upcoming mobile operating system, will introduce changes to the iPhone Lock Screen and new features for Apple Music. The source of the leak is known for having leaked the yellow iPhone 14 accurately ahead of its official release. However, the source's track record with software leaks is not as extensive, so the rumors should be taken with a grain of salt.

According to the leak, iOS 17 will bring Control Center UI changes, support for custom categories and other organization features for the App Library, the ability to view Apple Music lyrics directly on the Lock Screen, updates to the Apple Music user interface with fewer texts and more images and graphics, and more options for customizing the Lock Screen. Users will be able to share their custom Lock Screen designs with others, similar to sharing Apple Watch faces. Additionally, there will be new customization options for fonts, emoji wallpapers, and other functions.

The leak also reveals a "step-less" adjustment for the flashlight brightness, giving users more fine-grained control over the brightness, unlike the current three preconfigured settings.

These iOS 17 rumors are in line with previous leaks, including Bloomberg's report that iOS 17 would support side-loading apps (only in the European Union) and changes to Find My and the Wallet app. The Wall Street Journal also reported that Apple will launch a new journaling app as part of iOS 17 this year.

Apple will officially announce iOS 17 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023, which is scheduled to take place on June 5.
