Tech analysts and users are still debating over the fact whether increasing the number of cameras in a smartphone can actually make it take better photos. After all, the Google Pixel manages amazing photographs with a single camera yet it is not stopping the upcoming Huawei P20 Lite 2019 edition from going with a four-camera setup on the rear side.
With newly rendered images of the Huawei P20 Lite online, it is obvious that every other brand is ready to embrace the future. Samsung Galaxy S10 series made it popular with punch-hole display and eventually all other manufacturers are getting rid of the annoying, top notch that doesn’t make much sense on a phone.
The leaked information comes from WinFuture.de and they have also released a couple of rendered photographs. At first look, the smartphone definitely looks stylish and future-ready to compete with all major players. Huawei used to be yet another Chinese brand in the past but they have grown to a whole new level that they are directly competing with Samsung, Apple and Google these days. Some of their phones are even more expensive than the flagship models of more popular brands like the ones mentioned here.
Based on the renders available, it looks like the phone will have three cameras arranged in a vertical manner with the flash at the bottom. The fourth camera is placed on the side and it is expected to be the primary camera with the largest possible megapixel to take amazing photographs. In terms of specifications, the P20 Lite will sport a compact 5.84-inch display with IPS technology and even though it may not be as good as OLED, it still will have a nice matte finish and will avoid reflections caused in bright areas.
The primary camera on this upcoming model is expected to be 24-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture and it is also rumored to include a Time of Flight ToF sensor to help enhance the clarity of the pictures you take. Under the sturdy steel body, the phone is powered by Kirin 710 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM which will give enough space for multiple apps to run at once. The phone will be available as a base model with 64 GB of storage whereas the higher end variant will have 128 GB storage.
Users can also choose to expand it using the micro SD card slot. The phone uses 3,000 mAh battery which should easily last an entire day on moderate usage. The expected pricing for the Huawei P20 Lite is about $315 or 280 euros and should be more of a budget variant with reliable hardware specifications. It will be available in Black, Blue and Red colored variants.
