A Huawei smartphone was seen on the Chinese certification site TENAA with the moniker AQM-AL00 / TL00. It is now believed that this device is going to be launched as the Huawei P Smart 2020. There was an earlier device, the Huawei P Smart 2019 and from that perspective, this is a successor model. The same phone was also sold as the Honor 10 Lite in other countries. Will the Huawei P Smart 2020 be the Global variant of Honor 20 Lite? It’s not confirmed yet.
Specifications of the Huawei P Smart 2020
Considering that the device sighted on TENAA is the same as the new phone for which the official renders have been now released, some of the specifications can be recounted. The smartphone’s dimensions are 157.4mmx 73.2mm x7.75mm and its weight, 163 grams. The Huawei P Smart 2020 will have a 6.3-inch display with a waterdrop notch for the front camera. The OLED panel offers a Full HD+ screen resolution of 1020×2400 pixels with an aspect ratio of 20:9. Huawei is expected to fit an inhouse Kirin 710FSoC as the processor under the hood.
This chipset clocks a speed of 2.2GHz which is quite decent by any standards. The phone will be released in two RAM variants, 6 GB and 8 GB and the internal storage would be 64 GB and 128 GB. The storage can be expanded through a micro SD card. The Android Pie, version 9.0 will be the operating system with Huawei’s EMUI 9 riding on it as the interface.
Triple Camera Setup in the Rear; Under Display Fingerprint Scanner
The renders also show the vertically aligned triple camera setup in the rear. The specs are indicated to be 48 MP primary shooter supported by an 8MP and a 2MP sensor. The front camera for selfies will be a 16MP shooter.
The rear panel clearly indicates there is no physical fingerprint scanner confirming that the Huawei P Smart 2020 will sport an under-display fingerprint scanner for unlocking the device. The battery is rated at 4,000mAh with a 10W charging support.
The renders also suggest there may be three colors in which the new Huawei phone may be released, white-blue, green and black.
What is to be determined is when the phone will be released for the market and what its pricing would be. There is also confirmation yet on whether the Huawei P Smart 2020 will be a China-only model or will be launched internationally and if so, what the model name would be.
