Huawei is adding 2 more colors to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro smartphone, which has seen some brisk sales after its release in October. The new colors are expected to be Fragrant Red and Comet Blue. Some images of how the colors would look like have appeared on the Chinese social media site Weibo. It is reported that the company has managed to sell over 5 million pieces of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and seems to have run out of stocks in any of the different colors in which the phone was launched.
Multiple Colors on Launch
Huawei launched the Mate 20 Pro smartphone in multiple color options; as many as five of them. These are Bright Black, Sapphire Blue, Cherry Pink, Emerald Green, and Aurora. The Chinese major chose London to launch this phone. The phone is being sold in its home market of China as well, but all the five colors listed above are being displayed as ‘out of stock’. Meanwhile, as mentioned above, there is this piece of information that suggests that two new colors, Red and Blue, being added to the lineup as Fragrant Red and Comet Blue will be available from this January 10. It is possible the Huawei Mate 20 Pro in the new colors may be sold in China first, particularly to mark the Chinese New Year. There is no clarity if they will be made available in the other markets as well.
A Phone with Very High Screen Resolution
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro boasts of some decent specifications and the 6.39 inch QHD+ AMOLED display offers a massive screen resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels. The resultant pixel density of 538ppi is definitely high by any standards. Huawei’s 7 nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC is the processor. The phone is released in 2 variants, 6 GB and 128 GB and 8 GB and 256 GB with the microSD card option in addition.
The camera specs of the Huawei Mate Pro are also much talked about. There is a triple camera 40 MP + 20 MP + 8 MP setup in the rear and a 24 MP selfie camera. The battery, to support these high specs is 4200 mAh.
On when the phone will be available in the new colors, January 10 is the indicated date as Huawei has shared an update in its official Weibo account earlier in the day today.
