Huawei Honor V30 Leaked Image Suggests Twin Selfie Camera in a Punch-Hole

There’s a buzz surrounding the soon to be released Huawei Honor V30 smartphone. This is expected to be a 5G phone and most of the information in the public domain is speculative. A recent leak in the Chinese social media site Weibo, however, has the real-life image of the Honor V30. The picture shows the phone open in the Settings section with a series of entries in Chinese except the first one, which shows WLAN alongside the Wi-Fi icon. The key item to note from this picture is the elliptical-shaped punch hole which suggests there may be two cameras in the front for selfies.

Quad-Camera Setup in the Rear Predicted

As indicated, most of the information available so far is through rumors and leaks though Huawei has been sending out teasers from time to time. The rumors strongly believe the Huawei Honor V30 will sport a four-camera setup in the rear, with a 60MP shooter being the primary sensor, a 16MP super wide-angle snapper, a 2MP macro lens, and a ToF camera. The rumors further suggest that there will be an Honor V30 Pro model also, in which the rear camera configuration will be 60MP+20MP wide-angle lens + 8MP telephoto lens + ToF shooter. There is no news on the front camera or cameras yet.

Other Specifications Predicted

Going ahead with the predictions for the Huawei Honor V30 and V30 Pro, it is suggested that the batteries on these models will be 4,000mAh and 4,200mAh respectively. The fast charging support will be 22.5W for the V30 and 40W for the V30 Pro. The support for wireless fast charging will be 15W. Smartphone brands usually don’t supply the full capacity chargers along with the phones. The users will have to buy them separately. There is no clarity here on what kind of a charger will be included in the pack by Huawei with its Honor V30 and V30 Pro models.

Some rumors indicate the Honor V30 models will be fitted with a Kirin processor, Huawei’s in-house HiSilicon chipset. Again, the exact SoC is not known. The body is being predicted to be an all-glass one.

There is a rumored price as well for this phone; it says the cost won’t be more than CNY3,000 in China, which converts to roughly $420. There are strong indications that the Honor V30 and V30 Pro will be launched in November itself though the date is still to be ascertained.
