Huawei TNY-AL00 is the model name under which a new smartphone has been spotted on Geekbench. It is expected that it will be launched on October 31 as the Huawei Honor Magic 2. With just a couple of days to go for the official release, a number of features and specs can be shared now.
Highlights of Specifications of the Honor Magic 2
There have already been some rumors about this new phone from the sub-brand from Huawei. One of the significant pieces of information is that the octa-core processor will be the Kirin 980, possibly fitted in the Honor phones for the first time by Huawei. The clocking speed of this chipset is 1.8 GHz. And the OS would be the Android Pie, version 9 out of the box as can be seen on Geekbench listing. It is quite likely that the in-house UI adopted to the new Android OS would be added as the skin riding over it.
The RAM would be 6 GB, though an 8 GB variant may be on the cards as well. The internal storage could then be 256 GB and 128 GB respectively. There will be a slot for a micro-SD card with a limit of 256 GB.
Huawei Indicating Yoyo will be Introduced
Huawei has been airing television ads for the Honor Magic 2 smartphone and an AI based voice assistant Yoyo is being teased in these ads. Huawei has a digital assistant Xiao AI, but this is for the first time one hears an English-speaking voice assistant from Huawei. Yoyo being teased on the ads for the Honor Magic 2 is a confirmation that the phone will feature this too. Besides, the Google Assistant will be available from Android.
Other Likely Specifications
The Honor Magic 2 is likely to have a 6.39 inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The dimensions of the phone would be 157.3 mm x 75.1 mm x 8.3 mm and its weight is 206 gms. The rear camera setup will feature 16 MP +16 MP +24 MP shooters and the front selfie camera will feature a 16 MP sensor and a 2 MP sensor. The battery to be fitted on this Honor Magic 2 is rumored to be 3400 mAh.
Most of these details will get confirmed within a matter of 2 days when Huawei makes the official release of the smartphone.
