Huawei has been one of the leading smartphone manufacturers in 2019 as far as 5G smartphones are considered. The company offered 5G support for its flagship lineup with the Huawei Mate X, Huawei Mate 20 X 5G and more. Now, they are expected to bring the same for their mid-range smartphone lineup with the 5G variant of the Huawei Nova 6, which is expected to release in December of this year.

The Huawei Nova 6 is expected to launch in December 2019 in two variants -a regular 4G one and a 5G variant. The information was revealed by a tipster named Digital Chat Station on Weibo who found the certification issued for Huawei Nova 6 from the CMIIT (China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology). The report suggests that the Huawei Nova 6 will have the model number WLZ-AN00. The device will also have support for both 5G and 4G networks.

The certificate from CMIIT doesn’t give away any information regarding the specifications of the Huawei Nova 6 5G but the name itself suggests that it will be the successor of Huawei Nova 5 which was launched by the manufacturer way back in June 2019.

The leaks were corroborated by Evan Blass, a known tipster on Twitter who also found that the Huawei Nova 6 will come in both 4G and 5G variants. There weren’t any specifications leaks from his side either. The Huawei Nova 6 will be released in December 2019. The Nova 5 was launched in June, but the Nova 4 was released in December 2018.

Huawei Nova 6 5G will be launched around the same time as the Honor V30 which is also a mid-range 5G offering by Honor. The Huawei Nova 6 is the successor to the Nova 5 and will build upon its features and specifications. The Huawei Nova 5 was a 4G smartphone, which featured a 6.39 inches OLED display. The CPU was an octa-core processor with two 2.27 GHz Cortex A76 and six 1.88 GHz Cortex A55 processors. It featured 128GB internal memory along with 8GBs RAM. The primary camera was a quad camera setup (48MP, 16MP, 2MP (Macro), 2MP (Depth)). The front camera was a 32 MP f/2.0 sensor.
