So on the 9th of October, HTC announced that they will be releasing camera update that will let their HTC One M8 users enjoy the HTC Eye experience beforehand. And with the update having been already rolled out, we can see that the users are really enjoying it. This new update brings in some new camera features and tricks along with a firmware update for all the low-level components of the device.
The total weight of the new update was 252MB. It also included the Android version update to the latest KitKat 4.4.4. And even though HTC had already added all their latest security patches in the previous Android update 4.4.3, it was a good move to keep up with other users, especially the Motorola and the Nexus one’s. The HTC One M8 users can now enjoy the latest camera features, such as the Split Capture, Voice activated Selfies, Face Tracking, etc.
But it’s not just the Camera that has been updated. As reported by Android Revolution, there are many under the hood updates, like the DSP manager, Bluetooth, Thermal management, etc.

If you didn’t receive the update, there is no need to sweat because it will surely take a while to reach the whole globe. Also, other devices such as the One M, One E8, Desire 816, Desire 820 and the One mini 2 are also expected to receive the same update some time in the future.
Until then, enjoy the dual experience and keep an Eye.
