How To Turn On Do Not Disturb While Driving Feature On iPhone 11 Series

Apple knows how bad it could be. That’s why they bring a feature to the iPhone 11 to help you focus while you on the road. There are some alternatives to stay focused while you are behind the steering wheel. You can just turn on the Airplane mode or put your iPhone 11 to the silent mode. Therefore, you will not be bothered by any incoming calls, messages, or other notifications. What makes the Do Not Disturb While Driving feature different?

Once you turn on Do Not Disturb While Driving feature on iPhone 11, it will automatically silence or limit all notifications, calls, messages, etc whenever you are in the car. Your iPhone can sense whenever you might be driving based on motion detection or network connections such as Car Bluetooth or CarPlay.

  1. Unlock your iPhone and launch the Settings app from the Home screen.
  2. Find Do Not Disturb option and tap it.
  3. Scroll down to find Do Not Disturb While Driving section and tap it.
  4. Select how do you wish the feature to be activated: Automatically, When Connected to Car Bluetooth, or Manually. You can also activate the CarPlay.

By default, all your calls, messages, and other notifications will be silenced when you turn on Do Not Disturb feature on iPhone 11. However, you can make an exception for certain people in your contact list to call you for something urgent. You can turn on the Auto-Reply to send a message to anybody when you are driving.

To allow some phone calls, open Settings > Do Not Disturb > Allow Call From. Then, select one of the options given: Everyone, No One, Favorites, or All Contacts. To set the auto replay, go to Settings > Do Not Disturb > Auto-Reply To and choose one of the options.
