How to enable Always-On Display On Huawei Mate 20 Pro

What is Always-On Display and how does it work?

Before we show you how to enable it, we will just give you a quick explanation.  Always-On Display is a super useful feature and once enabled, you will get certain info on the lock screen, such as the weather, time, date, etc. So, you won’t have to unlock the phone every time when you want to see the temperature or time.

However, the drawback of it is the fact that it may drain the battery faster when turned on. You can enable it and see how it works. If you are satisfied keep it, if not, turning it off.

How to enable Always-On Display On Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Out of the box, this feature is turned off. So, you  have to enable it and here is how to do just that:

  • Open the Settings app on your phone
  • Next, tap Homescreen & wallpaper
  • Tap Always-On Display
  • Toggle the switch to turn it on

Below are the options such as Start and End time. You may choose the time when the info is available on the screen, and when it turns off. There is no need to have the feature on during the night, because of the battery drain and the fact it might be too bright.

You can tap on Clock style, and then choose the look of your Always-On display.
