How To Boot LG G4 Into Safe Mode

LG G4 runs pretty smoothly, and people are really satisfied with its performance and speed. You can enable many features that will make the whole usage of the device really interesting. Of course, you can download a bunch of apps from the Play Store, including games, productivity apps and the apps that will change the look of the Home screen, icons, keyboard, and so on. However, not all the apps you install will work perfectly. Sometimes, the app may misbehave, it may become frozen or it may crash, in which case you have several options. You can update the app, you can reinstall it, disable it or remove it from your device completely. If your LG G4 has performance issues, if it keeps restarting or if it has some other problem, it can be app related. Safe mode will help you to determine if the app is causing the problem, because once you boot your device into Safe mode, it will disable all third-party apps you have installed. In this article, we are going to show you how to boot LG G4 into Safe Mode.

To boot your device into Safe Mode, follow these steps:

  • Press and hold the Power button on your LG G4
  • Release the Power button once the menu appears on the screen
  • Now select Power off and hold it until “Restart in safe mode” appears
  • Click “Turn on safe” from the Reboot to safe mode prompt
  • Wait until your device reboots into Safe Mode
  • The Safe mode will appear in the bottom-left of the screen

Once your device is in the Safe Mode, monitor how it works. For instance, if you have been experiencing lag issues, see how your device works now. If it’s not slow and if everything works just fine, it means one of the third-party apps is causing the problem.

If you have tons of apps, it will be hard to figure out which one is causing the problem. You can either uninstall a few apps you recently downloaded, or you can perform a factory reset – this will delete all the personal settings, files, and all third-party apps.
