A new leaked image of the upcoming Honor V30 5G smartphone was released on Chinese social media platform Weibo yesterday and has since been trending. Moreover, later in the day, a Huawei fan club account on Weibo hinted the launch of the V30 5G, which indicates a release date sooner that we’d expected. It goes without saying at this point that despite the current legal feud Huawei is facing in the US regarding Google’s Android OS, the smartphone maker is coming out with great devices back to back. The V30 5G is no exception, as the phone has been receiving rave reviews since the aforementioned image was leaked on Weibo.
Huawei Fan Club’s Giveaway
The popular Huawei Fan Club forum on Weibo recently announced an interesting new giveaway where one lucky user stood a chance to win a free Honor V30 5G smartphone. The post on Weibo threw light on the arrival of 5G in China finally. The group’s administrators asked their followers to discuss the scope of 5G connectivity in China and the possible technical problems that may arise with it. The post further read that one lucky follower would be chosen from the comments section and he/she would get a free Huawei V30 5G smartphone. However, this was just a tease that indicated that the phone might be coming out soon -but no specifications of the phone were revealed in the post. This open discussion for users to engage in on 5G connectivity promoted by Huawei indicates that the manufacturer is working to deliver a great 5G connectivity experience to their users with the V30 5G.
V30 5G: What We Know So Far
Honor’s President George Zhao had confirmed in a media interview at the Wuhan Honor conference last month that the Honor V 30 5G will be one of Honor’s 5G smartphones released this year and will have a Kirin 990 5G chip. The phone is likely to release as Honor Vera30 in international markets according to a few sources.
The image that was revealed on Weibo showed a sleek and high tech looking new Honor V30 5G. The phone will have a neat punch-hole on the screen that contains the dual-lens front camera setup on the top left side of the display. The V30 5G will also most likely have an AMOLED display with an under-screen fingerprint scanner and is also rumored to come with a 90Hz refresh rate. According to some online rumors, the phone is likely to have a round-shaped rear camera setup with a quadruple lens setup along with an LED flash. Some rumors also suggest that the Geekbench test scores benchmarked for a phone titled NLE-AL00 with Android 10 and 8 GB of RAM might actually be for the V30 5G. As of now, no official source has confirmed these rumors, so we’ll take them with a pinch of salt. The Honor V30 5G is likely to release by the end of the year, and for now, all eyes are on this phone.
