Honor President Announces Upcoming V30 5G on Social Media

The 5G Internet race has begun and countries and brands all over the world are hurrying to mark their territories in the upcoming high-speed connectivity technology. Yet another renowned brand that has entered the race now is Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei. Zhao Ming, the president of the company recently announced that the brand’s upcoming flagship model Honor V30 will support and run on 5G Internet connectivity.

The upcoming Honor V30 will mark the beginning of a new era for Honor, as it will be the first-ever Honor smartphone with next-gen high-speed 5G connectivity. The news was recently confirmed on Chinese social media network Weibo by Zhao Ming himself, who’s the President of Honor. Not only did Ming announce that the upcoming phone will have 5G connectivity, but it will also feature a full 5G SA (standalone) as well as the NSA (non-standalone) network. In other words, the V30 will support and run on both 4G infrastructure, as well as the next-generation 5G infrastructure.

What else could the Honor V30 have?

The Honor V30 will be the first Honor device to come with 5G connectivity. The phone will be the latest addition to Honor’s View20 series that was launched last year, in succession to Honor V20. As of now, the phone’s features and specifications remain secret, with no word on the matter from Honor. However, rumors suggest that the V30 is likely to be powered by Kirin 990, Huawei’s flagship SoC that’s going to launch soon.

However, V30 will not be the first commercially launched 5G smartphone from Huawei. The Huawei Mate 20 X, which was launched recently, has been getting immense positive response from users around the world. So far, the phone is being sold in its home country China, but its set to launch in other countries as well, soon.

The strikingly beautiful phablet’s price tag starts at RMB 6,199, which will get you an 8 GB RAM + 256 GB onboard storage variant. Ever since the launch of Mate 20X, expectations have been pretty high with The Honor V30. The former boasts a massive 7.2-inch OLED display that sports a waterdrop notch, along with a full-HD+ resolution in an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. The Mate 20X is powered by Huawei’s flagship Kirin 980 chipset, coupled with a Balong 5000 5G modem which makes the phone support and run on 5G connectivity. The Mate 20 X supports dual-SIM connectivity, however, it can run only one 5G SIM and a 4G SIM simultaneously.

Huawei’s known for its amazing cameras, with phones like P20 pro having created sensations around the world for their highly advanced camera technology. It goes without saying that the Mate 20 X does not disappoint when you talk about cameras. The phone has a 24-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front. The rear side features a triple camera setup with Leica’s 40-megapixel primary sensor + 8-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS + 20-megapixel ultra-wide lens setup with LED flash. Apart from this, the phone also boasts of a humongous 5,000 mAh battery with 40W fast charging support.

So far there’s no new update on the V30, but it’s safe to say that it will come with most of the features that the Mate 20 X has, along with some new ones. Stay Tuned!
