The Honor 10 flagship smartphone is expected to be unveiled on May 15th, with its specifications being confirmed by TENAA, a Chinese regulatory authority. The Chinese regulatory has certified four different network variants of the Honor 10 flagship smartphone to be released shortly. The model numbers of these variants are the COL-TL00, the COL-TL10, the COL-AL10 and the COL-AL00.
Huawei Honor has officially announced that the introduction of the Honor 10 flagship smartphone will be done on the 19th of April at an event held in Shanghai.
The display of the upcoming Honor 10 smartphone will be notched, similar to the Huawei P20. There is a difference in the camera though. The setup on the Honor 10 will be a horizontal arrangement of the dual back cameras, in contrast to the vertical dual camera setup on the P20.
Models and Variants
There are two variants of the model COL-AL10, one a RAM of 4 GB with internal storage of 64 GB and another having a RAM of 6 GB with internal storage of 128 GB.
As for the model number CLO-AL00, it comes with a single variant of RAM 4 GB and internal storage of 64 GB.
The COL-TL10 model of the Honor 10 smartphone comes with RAM 6 GB and internal storage of 128 GB, whereas the COL-TL00 has two variants with the same internal storage of 128 GB, but two different RAMs of 4 GB and 6 GB respectively.
Hardware and Software Specs Revealed
The Honor 10 smartphone will have a SoC by HiSilicon and will be powered by an Octa-Core Huawei, Kirin 970 with Mali G72, MP12 GPU and clocking at a speed of 2.36 GHz.The Kirin 970 offers a seamless experience, being the world’s first and foremost AI processor. It will run on Android 8.1, Oreo, which will be overrun with the EMUI 8.1.
The Honor 10 has dimensions of 149.6 x 71.2 x 7.7 mm and weighs 153 g. It has a fingerprint sensor and is a dual SIM phone. The phone is available only in the Silver color according to the listings, but there are rumors that it will be available in other colors as well.
The Honor 10 comes with two rear cameras and AI features. The primary camera is 16 MP and has dual tone, LED flash features, whereas the secondary camera is 24 MP resolution. As for the front camera, it is a 24 MP resolution camera having Sony IMX576 sensor and an aperture of f/2.0.
According to the latest information on the web, the Honor 10 will come with a mode for semantic images segmentation, offering detection of multiple scenes in a single picture or photo, due to the Kirin 970 AI abilities.
The battery capacity is 3320 mAH and this will be combined with the in-house quick charging features of Huawei.
