In this intensely connected day and age, having a reliable Internet connection is of the utmost importance for our everyday lives. Many of us need and use the Internet for a myriad of things, from entertainment and leisure to work and paying our bills. However, we also know that even the most reliable Wi-Fi network or cellular data plan can fail us sometimes, and that’s ok. But it’s also annoying to keep checking back every 5 minutes to see if it’s working again.
While there are still many apps with a poorly optimized online page out there even today, the Google Play Store is no longer one of them. Yep, the Play Store’s offline page got a complete makeover which made it far more useful and reliable for our Internet connection-related needs. Keep reading to find out what the update consists of.
New and Improved Google Play Store Offline Page Now Live
The update is pretty basic and simple, but it makes all the difference in the world to be honest. The new Google Play store offline page now offers a new option button beside ‘Retry’, namely ‘Notify’. This means that, instead of having to keep on clicking ‘Retry’ until it worked, the Play Store app can notify you directly when it’s running again so that you don’t have to waste your time on trying in vain.
While this new addition is certainly not a major one, it’s something that we’d like to see implemented in more apps because it’s so time-effective and also soothing. Instead of getting angrier with each passing second because you keep retrying with no end result, you can now rest assured that the app will do its due diligence and notify you when it’s working again. All in all, this is a solid update for the Play Store and we’re glad to have it come our way.
