Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL launch dates are only a couple of months away but the rumor mills just will not stop. The company recently launched the cheaper Pixel 3A smartphone but all eyes are on the upcoming model because it finally gets rid of the top notch and also incorporates dual cameras for the first time.
Despite heavy competition in the camera department, Google continues to win hands down against Apple and Samsung with a single camera in the front and one in the rear. It still remains a mystery as to how Google’s phone cameras could process images so well. The latest leak is regarding a screen protector designed for the Pixel 4 smartphone.
Based on the cutouts made for the device, it seems the front will sport a dual selfie camera setup for the first time, similar to how it looks on the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus phones. The two cameras will be placed on the top right-hand side right next to each other. Surprisingly, the company is also going to implement front firing speakers similar to what Samsung has done.
Google is also planning to finally get rid of the physical buttons including the fingerprint sensor which is mounted on the rear side of the phones. Instead, they will adopt an in-display fingerprint sensor that has been around for quite a while now. Even a much cheaper phone as the OnePlus 6T has already implemented it and several other mobile manufacturers are bringing out phones with no physical buttons in front or the back.
The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL reportedly will support dual SIM cards. It is not confirmed whether the company would provide dual SIM slots or rather go with an e-Sim similar to how Apple handles the situation. People want such functionalities which is why Google was forced to bring back the headphone jack in their Pixel 3A phones and also lower the price tag.
Google has also managed to make the phone look nearly bezel-less while the speaker grill is hidden in the corner. It ensures one will get great, loud volumes for music, movies and also phone calls, but without compromising on the design aesthetics of this new 2019 flagship phone in the Pixel series. Apart from this leak, there are several others in the form of renders that confirm it will have dual cameras on the rear as well and also uses the in-display fingerprint sensor.
