Google’s next generation of its flagship Pixel smartphone series is all set to launch on 10th October. So far we’ve heard tonnes of rumors about the phone, and the design renders were also leaked a while ago. However, as the release date approaches closer, some new info on the phone has come to light. It’s being said that the new phone is going to have one of the best smartphone cameras of the year, which raises the bar pretty high after all the great releases we have seen this year. Also, some reports indicate that the Pixel 4 and 4XL may come with an additional ‘DSLR-like accessory’ to boost the photography a notch higher for photographers.
The recent report published by 9to5Google gives a detailed leak on the phone’s specs, which they claim to have received exclusively from a “reliable source.” The report reveals all the major specs and info about the camera, panel size, processors, RAM and screen resolution specs. Also, the report revealed that the Pixel 4 will have a dual rear camera setup: one 12 MP camera enabled with phase-detect auto-focus, along with another 16 MP telephoto camera. However, there isn’t any particular info about the DSLR like attachment, which has got tech enthusiasts all riled up. Another intriguing aspect of the upcoming phone is going to be the Project Soli radar based motion sensing device control technology, which was announced recently by Google on their official blog.
Leaked specs of the Pixel 4 and 4XL
The Pixel 4 will sport a 5.7″ 1080p+ display and a 2,800 mAh battery, which is lesser than the 2,915 mAh battery in the Pixel 3. Meanwhile, The Pixel 4 XL will come with a bigger 6.3″ 1440p+ display panel and a 3,700 mAh battery, which is 8% better than that of Pixel 3 XL. The OLED screens are being named “Smooth Display”, with a reported refresh rate of 90H, which brings the Pixel 4 and 4XL to level with its competition flagship phones. However, whether the high refreshing rates and the small battery on the Pixel 4 will make a smoothly functioning combo or not is still a big question.
Amid all this, the good news is that Google is finally going to bump the RAM up to 6 GB for both the Pixel 4 and 4Xl, after years of 4 GB RAM. The phones will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, along with Titan M secure enclave, and will come in 64 GB and 128 GB storage variants. So far, this is the closest to official news that we have received on the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL. However, only an official statement from Google will make the news a 100% confirmed. Stay tuned for more!
