The plague of leaks has really hit the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3XL phones. Some months ago, there were reports saying that a shipment was stolen. Then, someone apparently forgot a Pixel 3XL inside a Lyft taxi. You might think that Google would pay more attention with its most anticipated phone of the year, but the reality is what it is.
For some time now, leaks are some sort of traditional way of increasing the buzz before a release, at least when it comes to smartphones. There are some phone makers who fake their own leaks as part of their marketing campaign. Readers are lured in by fake leaks fabricated by those with a Youtube account, bloggers or rumor sites.
We know, it is all enough to make your head spin from confusion and when you try to see what’s real and what’s not you can cause yourself a bit of a headache to say the least. However, you have to filter out the garbage news in order to see clearly what you should expect. From what we gathered so far, the Pixel 3 and 3XL will come with the same similarities that the Pixel 2 and 2XL had.
We are talking about identical internal specs and they will differ slightly on the outside. Continue reading to find out more.
Google has sort of confirmed the launch date for these two phones. Sort of, because we know that Google saved the 9th of October for its next big launch, without saying what specific model will arrive then. However, this is traditional for Google, just like Apple announces its next device’s name weeks before it actually unveils it.
For now, this is as close as possible we will get to an official non-leak. So, save the 9th of October date and stay tuned to find out more news about the Pixel 3 and 3XL and maybe some other new devices.
Google Pixel 3 Leaks
One of the earliest leaks – back from June 2018 – showed that the Pixel 3XL will come with a single rear camera. More than likely, this will be the case for the Pixel 3 as well. This shows how Google focuses on its usual photographic priorities: a solid lens, a large sensor and, of course, its now famous dynamic range processing. That’s what made the Pixel 2 the phone with the best camera for daylight images.
The most contentious thing of the leak puzzle for the Pixel 3 would be its fat notch. The deep pan notch cuts further into the screen than most. While it is not wide, it definitely disrupts the screen’s shape and it doesn’t look too sleek either.
A Youtuber claims that he came across a lost or stolen Google Pixel 3XL. He suggested that the phone will come with a display of 6.71 inches and a resolution panel of 2960×1440. Moving on, the Pixel 3s seems to come with an LG screen, just like the 2s did. A benchmark for the Pixel 3XL came in August, revealing that the phone will come with a Snapdragon 845 processor, indicating a 3,430 mAh battery.
Also, the stolen shipment of Pixel 3s happened in the middle of 2018. That’s why there were so many leaks. Another such example is us finding out about the phone’s front cameras which will come as a duo, with 8 megapixels each.
The Pixel Buds were released in 2017. They act as wireless headphones which seem capable of translating languages on the spot by using Google Assistant technology. Another leaked showed that they will come with the Pixel 3.
