Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 Xl (“walleye” and “taimen”) are two highly anticipated devices for pure Android lovers. Some sources suggested that Google used the HTC U11 design for the Pixel smartphones, while others believe that LG has designed the device.
The Pixel device (“taimen”) is said to have a 5.99-inch display with a 144 OLED panel, a 128 storage model. The device will use the Snapdragon 835 processor, 2.45 frequencies, instead of the Snapdragon 821-AB used for the first Pixel smartphone model. The 4 GB of RAM will ensure storage and a single camera with dual LED flash will allow users to enjoy precious moments. The materials used for the design are metal and glass. The smartphone scanner is to be referred to as “Nexus Imprint”.
The Pixel 2 XL device (“walleye”) comes with a 4.97-inch display and a FHD resolution. The design is very similar to Pixel 1. Large bezels surrounding the display, 3.5 mm headphone jacks and stereo speakers will be used. The device will have the 64 GB storage option and 4 GB of RAM, with the Snapdragon 835 processor. The smartphone scanner is to be referred to as “Pixel Imprint”.
Online many rushed to comment these speculations. Some are upset with the elimination of the headphone jacks while others agree with the use of Bluetooth only. Others say that the small battery of the smartphones make certain features to be of lower quality compared to other smartphone devices. Some fans call the new Pixel 2 a very good replacement for the Nexus 6 smartphone, because of its minimal size. So far it is difficult to appreciate which alternative will be more popular: the Pixel 2 (“taimen”) or Pixel 2 XL (“walleye).
