There are rumors floating that Google is going to launch the Pixel Buds 2 at the Made by Google 2019 event going to be held on October 15 in New York City. The event is used to showcase Google’s new hardware products and the Pixel 4 smartphone lineup is expected to be launched here too.
Google Pixel Buds 2 Launch
There is no source yet that can tell us whether the Pixel Buds 2 will be fully wireless like the Airpods or if they have a wire running through the back like the original Pixel Buds. Since there has been a lot of fully wireless earphone launches like the Amazon Echo Buds, we expect that the next generation of the Google Pixel Buds will be completely wireless.
There haven’t been any updates on the Pixel Buds since past June when Google released an update for the Google Pixel Buds which reduced the audio lag in the earbuds. There was also a teaser released by Google in 2018 (a year after the Pixel Buds launch) just before Christmas which featured the Google Pixel Buds 2.
Since then, there have been no updates until now as to when the Pixel Buds 2 is rumored to be announced at the Made by Google 2019 event.
Google Pixel Buds 2 Expected Features
The Pixel Buds 2 will surely have Google Assistant integration like the previous version. This will make it easy for users to perform tasks like playing music, placing a call, and more using just voice commands with the Google Assistant. The Pixel Buds came with inbuilt translation support using Google Translate and we expect Pixel Buds 2 to come with translation support as well.
Made by Google 2019 Event
The Google Pixel Buds 2 is expected to be released at the Made By Google 2019 event. Other products that are expected to be released along with the Google Pixel Buds 2 at this event are the Pixel 4, the Pixel 4 XL, the Pixelbook 2 and the Nest Mini.
The first Pixel Buds were launched at the Made By Google event in 2017 with the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL. As of now, we don’t know about any changes and improvements that we may see in the upcoming Google Pixel Buds 2.
