What is Tether?
Tethering can be defined as a way of connecting one device with another. It is mostly used to connect android phones to tablets, android phones with other smart phones, android phones with laptops, allowing them to share the internet connection of that particular device with other devices.
There are three ways to Tether the connection, which are
> Over wifi
> Using Bluetooth,
> Through a tether cable or through USB.
The most common way of using Tether is via wifi connection, in which the device becomes a mobile hotspot and works as a portable wireless access point or a router for all the other devices connected to it.

Tether refers to a connection between two devices, widely used for sharing internet connection from an android device or tablet. You can easily connect other devices, laptops with it and then share the connection between them. Most of the smart phones have operating systems with inbuilt software’s to provide tethered internet access. As it works via NAT, so the provider can identify how many machines are using the package.
Therefore, some of the networks have this facility for free whereas few of them have charges for it; you need to add it in your package by paying additional charges for it.
