What is PRL?
PRL or Preferred Roaming List is a list or moreover a database, incorporated in a Smartphone preferably in a CDMA device. It contains information of all the bands and service provider identifiers, which tells the device how to scan them and in which order.
> PRL is responsible for providing network while you are in roaming.
> Missing or corrupted Preferred Roaming List can lead to no service.
> PRL structure consists of two tables, one is the acquisition table and another one is the system table.
> PRL helps in selecting the best roaming carriers while you step out of the home network.
Technobezz Explains PRL
PRL stands for Preferred Roaming List, which is a build-in database every wireless device has in it, especially those which works on CDMA technology. Its structure is made in such a way that one table lists the radio frequencies while going out of the home circle and the other table tells the device about the towers to which it can connect and in which order.
> PRL helps in connecting with the valid and strongest network outside your home network.
> Having an invalid PRL will give no service to your CDMA device outside the home network and even it won’t be able to connect with the network within the home circle.
