What are NSP and CP?


NSP means Network Service providers; it is a business or a company that provides the support and backbone services to the ISPs (internet service providers).

CP stands for Communication processor. It is also called as base band processor or as modem. CP is a chip which consist of single core or multi core processors. It is an independent computing unit.



A NSP (network service providers) is a company or business which sells the bandwidth or give the internet access by giving direct internet support access to the ISPs (internet service providers) and also gives access to its NAPs (network access points).

CP is communication processor in mobile phones which consist of single core and multi core processors. CP works and connected with the AP (application processor) in mobile networks. Both are connected via IPC (inter processor communication and not inter process communication).
