In case you were not up to date, Samsung is currently trying to compete with the upcoming iPhone by rivaling their own Galaxy Note release. However, if we stop for a second and look back, things didn’t really go as planned last time the company tried that. Most likely you’ve heard by now about the exploding batteries issue with their previous phone.
Despite this, a new report coming from Korea claims that the company plans to release the Galaxy Note 8 before the iPhone 8.
When Should We Expect the Note 8?
According to the rumors that are circulating right now, which have been taken by The Korea Herald, it seems that Samsung wants to unveil their next device, namely the Galaxy Note 8, at the end of August the latest. This means they strategically placed this event before the official debut of the iPhone 8, which is expected to take place in September.
Galaxy Note 8 Specs
The upcoming devie should have a design that resembles the Galaxy S8 one, according to the report that was issued recently. However, the phone will come with a dual lens camera on its back, as The Herald shows.
Regarding safety, which is a major point of interest for potential buyers, Samsung showed with the S8 that they are learning from the mistakes they made. Besides, there are rumors detailing the plans for the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S9 plans show that the company wants to work on the devices with some time before the schedule.
In the beginning of 2017, Samsung declared that the problems with the Galaxy Note 7 appeared because of the battery manufacturers. However, many people were worried because this betrayed Samsung’s quest for filling up a device with features and forgetting about safety measures.
