The mid-range smartphone competition is about to intensify as there are a bunch of new models getting launched in 2019. Xiaomi and Realme are competing big time in this segment with the Realme X scheduled for launch in on May 15.
Before the company could officially reveal the hardware specifications of the phone, a Geekbench listing has confirmed what’s in store for the audience. Most smartphones will be tested on popular websites and testing sources which lead to such leaks. It is quite common and the specs of the phone look quite impressive of its own.
The latest update is that on the same lines as the Realme 3 Pro, the upcoming Realme X will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. The processor will be appropriately supported by 8GB of RAM which makes it an extremely powerful device that you could depend upon.
Geekbench reporting was confirmed using the model number RMX1901 which also led to the confirmation of the most important specifications of the smartphone. The phone runs on the latest Android 9 software but as usual will have a custom skin that provides some additional features. In terms of scores which usually helps buyers make a decision, the device scored 5837 in the multi-core testing and about 1506 on the single core testing.
As usual, Realme is a smartphone manufacturer that has a very strong focus in the Asian market. Their primary focus is on China where the X variant will get launched first. But it has also been confirmed by the Indian head that the phone will find its way to India real soon after the official launch. Apart from the official variant, the brand also has plans to launch a Youth edition.
Aimed at young users and college students, a Realme X Youth Edition will also be launched. It might be addressed as ‘Lite’ in some markets and will be cheaper compared to the flagship model. It will have lesser RAM and the dual sensor in the rear will be cut down so as to keep costs as low as possible.
Realme X is an excellent phone on paper as confirmed by TENAA listing because it sports an AMOLED display. It brings the phone on par with Samsung devices and it also sports the latest Snapdragon processor. Realme X Pro is also in the making if rumors are to be believed.
