Garmin has launched Vivoactive 3 smartwatch with Garmin Pay and brand new look.
The company introduced their new fitness smartwatch at the IFA trade show in Berlin, and it seems it will be able to compete with Apple Watch and Fitbit Ionic, the watch Fitbit launched just a few days ago.
Vivoactive 3 is available in three different colors. It comes with a round case, GPS, NFC payment system, full-color touch screen, swipe controls and more. The watch includes heart rate sensors, and it can track stress levels.
Vivoactive 3 has many sport tracking modes, including stair stepper, elliptical, and yoga.
It has a long battery life. The battery can last 7 days in the smartwatch mode, and 13 hours if the watch is in the GPS mode.
Thanks to the NFC payment system and FitPay integration, you can use the watch for contactless payments. Let’s not forget to mention it will support Visa and Mastercard from major banks. You will be able to add your supported cards into Garmin Pay wallet and enjoy various benefits and rewards of your physical debit or credit card.
The next important thing is the price. Vivoactive 3 costs from $299.99 to $329.99. The price depends on the model you choose.
In addition to Vivoactive 3, Garmin has also launched two other wearables. The company introduced Vivosport activity tracker that will cost $199.99.
There is also Vivomove HR smartwatch. The Vivomove Sport model retails for $199.99, and if you want to buy a Premium model, you’ll have to spend $100 more as this one retails for $299.99.
All these new Garmin wearables will be available later this year.
It seems this period is reserved for wearables. As we have mentioned, Fitbit introduced their first smartwatch, Fitbit Ionic, and according to some rumors, Apple will launch the brand new Apple smartwatch soon.
