Note: Before we move to the solutions, make sure the volume is turned up by going to Settings > Sounds. Also, remove the case if you have one because many people noticed the case may block the speaker.
Solution No.1: Update the app and relaunch it
If you are experiencing sound issues only when using a specific app, the first thing you should do is make sure that you have the latest version of the application. Just go to App Store and if the update is available, install it. If that does not help, you should force the app to close, and then launch it again. Tap on the Home button twice, and you’ll see the apps used recently, find the app and then swipe up to close it. Go back to the Home screen and start the app again.
Solution No.2: Restart your device
When we notice a glitch, we often forget about the simplest and usually the most effective solution – restart. Press and hold the sleep/wake button and drag the slider to turn your iPhone 6s Plus off. Then, after a few seconds, press and hold the sleep/wake button again and turn your phone back on.
Solution No.3: Turn off Bluetooth
This worked for many: just go to Settings and turn off Bluetooth. The sound issues may disappear. For many iPhone 6s Plus owners, this solved the problem, and next time they turned on the Bluetooth sound was working just fine.
Solution No.4: Clean the headset jack, the speaker and lighting connector
Dirt and debris may cause the problems with sound, so you should clean the lighting connector, the headset jack and the speaker, but make sure to do this gently using the clean brush.
Solution No.5: Reset all settings
If you do this, your data won’t be erased:
- Go to Settings
- Tap General
- Tap reset
- Tap Reset all settings
Solution No.6: Update iOS
As the iPhone owner, you know how important iOS updates are, so if you don’t have the latest version it is the perfect time to install it.
