Firefox: How To Install On Windows OS

Firefox is one of the most used browsers out there on both mobile and desktop platforms. Today we will teach you how to download and install this browser on a computer that runs on Windows OS.

Before we tell you how to can install the Firefox application on your Windows PC, we will talk about the minimum system requirements that your computer will need to have in order to be able to use this browser. In other words, if you have a pretty old computer, then there are high chances that this browser will not function at all on your system.

Firefox version 54.0.1: Windows System Requirements

Operating Systems (32-bit and 64-bit)

  • Windows 7;
  • Windows 8;
  • Windows 10.

Minimum Specifications

  • Pentium 4 or newer processor that supports SSE2;
  • 512MB of RAM or more;
  • At least 200MB of hard drive space.

If your computer has the minimum requirements that we’ve told you above, then you can go ahead and continue reading this article. In case you have an old computer that doesn’t have the minimum requirements, just don’t try Firefox on it as it will not function.

Firefox version 54.0.1: How To Install On Your Computer

Use Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge to open the Firefox official website (the download page of Firefox can be found by searching “Firefox download” on Google). Once the webpage loads, you will see a green “Free Download” button on which you will need to click in order to download the installation file to your computer.

Once the download is complete, run the installation file and complete the installation process.

HINT: Once you run Firefox on your computer for the first time, it will ask you if you want to import any history and personal data from other browsers.
