Facebook Messenger application is becoming more and more interesting. After a while back it received a chess game, that could be played directly within a conversation with friends, a new update released on iOS and Android provides the ability to start a simplistic game of basketball. The way how this game is opened is very original, but seems to balance pretty well with how young people communicate over the internet in recent years.
All you have to do is navigate to the dedicated emoji icons keyboard, select the symbol for basketball and then send it to a friend. Just by touching the icon from the chat, he can start playing basketball with you, the purpose of the game being to score as many goals in a row. The ball will change its position at the bottom of the screen after each goal, and at one point, even the panel will begin moving on the screen to provide a greater challenge.
It is clear that Facebook is experimenting more and more with its platform, this being probably one of next major revenue source. By adding games and extensions to the chat, it might suggest that in the future we may be charged if we want access to such functions. Until then, however, we have access to @FBChess and the new basketball game, completely free of charge, in any conversation on Messenger.
