When the battery on your iPhone or iPad is almost empty, and you need it to last a bit longer because you cannot charge it at the moment, you need to turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, and other services one by one. But, if you installed iOS 9, there is a lot simpler option known as the Low Power Mode. When Apple introduced iOS 9 they introduced the Low Power Mode along with it and it is a life saver when the battery is low. You don’t have to turn off the services and options one by one to make your battery last longer. The only thing you need to do is to enable the above-mentioned feature that will do all those things for you. Let’s see how to enable Low Power Mode in iOS 9.

If you haven’t updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 9, follow the guide below:

When the Low Power Mode is turned on, network activities on your device and its performance will be reduced. This feature automatically disables the things such as background app refresh, motion effects, live wallpapers and so on, but thanks to that, you will be able to use your iPhone or iPad a bit longer as the battery life will be extended.

Here is what you need to do to enable it:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap on Battery
  • You will see the “Low Power Mode” option there, so to turn it on just toggle the switch right next to it.
