Just like Microsoft and Google, Apple has made its own browser. We are talking about Safari. The browser is exclusive to Apple’s iOS and macOS operating systems and its regarded as one of the best browsers ever made. However, unlike Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, Safari doesn’t ship with Adobe Flash pre-installed on it.

Considering how useful Adobe Flash Player can be, Apple fans should be happy to know that they can manually enable the player to run on Safari. With that being said, let’s go over a step-by-step guide on how to install Safari on Apple’s Mac operating system.

macOS X 10.11, macOS 10.12 and Higher Guide

Open Safari and access the “Preferences” option. This is where users will need to click on the “Websites” tab and scrolls until they see the “Plug-ins” sections. A special Adobe Flash Player entry will be in there and the only thing that Apple fans need to do is to click the check box and enable it.

Moreover, Apple fans can go further and select a setting to use for Flash Player whenever their visit new websites. The configuration for Flash Player can be set to “Ask, Off and On” for individual domains.

Just like before, open Safari and head over to the “Preferences” option. Now, access the “Security” tab and double check to see that “Enable JavaScript” and “Allow Plug-ins” are selected. Once that is done, click on “Plug-in Settings” and select “Adobe Flash Player”. All that’s left now is to click on the “When visiting other websites” panel and select the “On” option. Do this again for each website that appears in the list and select “Done” when finished.

macOS X 10.6 and 10.7 Guide

Once again, start Safari and access the “Preferences” options then select the “Security” tab. The next step is to check if “Allow Java” and “Allow All Other Plug-ins” are enabled. If they are not enabled, just click on them and the preference will be changed.
