Chrome OS vs. Windows 10 S – Pick The Best One Comparison

In the world of computers, the most important thing is to choose a device that is suited for your needs, as well as your budget. This is why budget laptops exist, for those of us that don’t need ultra-state-of-the-art computers. Not everyone needs the latest hardware for gaming or other things. Some of us just want a basic computer to fulfill some basic daily needs, and that’s about it. Well, budget laptops are perfect for that.

And naturally, such devices run on lighter operating systems, due to the fact that their specs aren’t as advanced as those of the types of computers most people are used to. Out of the selection of such operating systems, two shine through the most. We’re talking about Chrome OS and Windows 10 S. But which one is better?

Design

Well, if you’ve used Microsoft Windows before (and, let’s face it, who here hasn’t?), then Windows 10 S surely will have a design that is more appealing to you, because of its familiarity. However, Google’s Chrome OS is remarkably minimalistic, so if that’s your cup of tea, then maybe you should give it a go.

Apps

For the most part, Chrome OS runs out of a web browser, so its apps are basically web pages. This can be convenient in terms of portability and mobility, but it also lowers the quality of user experience tremendously. Windows 10 S on the other hand, gives you a genuine OS experience. After all, it’s just a lighter version of Microsoft’s already well-known and loved operating systems. But again, it depends on what you need.

Conclusion

Both light operating systems are pretty good for different reasons, and thus worth considering. At the end of the day, you need to choose what best suits your needs. So think about it, and make an informed decision.
