You may not have someone available on the phone at the retention number. But, you can get someone to answer by calling their main number at 1-800-XFINITY or 1-800-COMCAST. You should answer the menu by informing them about your plans of cancelling the service.

Have An Excuse

You should get your excuse ready to get Comcast right where you want it to be. There are a number of excuses you can use, such as customer is moving with existing Comcast customer, moving to non-Comcast are, account holder is deceased, customer doesn’t know the address, or due to natural disaster.

Be Friendly But Firm On The Phone
