The much-awaited android smartphone from BlackBerry is now up for pre-orders for the price of $699 and is all set for shipping from November 6 in the US.

Just before the release, some highlight features of the BlackBerry Priv slider phone are taking rounds, and the latest is the notifications or Productivity Edge on the display. BlackBerry has also released android apps for the Priv android at the Google Play Store. Some of the apps are BlackBerry Calendar, BlackBerry keyboard, Notes, BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Password keeper and more.

BlackBerry has updated some of the apps while some of them are brand new. BlackBerry Content Transfer App is one of the new apps for Priv users, and this app is available on BlackBerry World. Using this app, BlackBerry users can switch to the new Priv Android from an old BlackBerry device running 10.2.1 and later by moving the data.

Data such as calendar events, contacts are transferred when your account is added to the new device, and your data can be transferred with encryption using your media card, Google Drive or a private Wi-Fi network.

However, from the leaked Productivity Edge, it has seen that the BlackBerry Priv is packed with a 5.4-inch QHD display with curved edges like Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 Edge Plus. The Productivity Edge also has icons of mails, contacts, tasks and calendar for a quick view. This feature is somewhat similar to Samsung’s People Edge.

However, we have to wait few more days to get the phone in hands and to know about its features and performance.
