This week in Reddit AMA, Bill Gates got an interesting question for the gamers. It’s about the Age of Empires sequel, a popular game that has been played by gamers around the world. This real-time strategy game was famous in PC in the 2000s. Unfortunately, the development of this game didn’t continue and ended at third version. The last expansion pack from Age of Empires III is ‘The Asian Dynasties’, which was released in 2007. In 2009, it’s development was stopped and there was no plan for Age of Empires IV to be made.
This question was shortly answered by Bill Gates. He didn’t promise to make the Age of Empires IV, but his answer made the fans hoping Gates will follow up his statement.
‘Mr Gates, can we please have another Age of Empires?’ asked a Reddit user called le-click. ‘Not sure if this is your department, but I figured I’d ask since you were here… Thanks!’
‘I will look into this. How many empires do you need?’ Answer Gates shortly.
In the beginning of 2015, Microsoft was rumored to be preparing the new expansion pack of Age of Empires, but it’s been a year and we still haven’t heard any news about that project. If they are going to make its sequels, it should be not just to improve a 3D graphic rendering but also to create a more sophisticated game. Perhaps, it will be more interesting to play the Age of Empires by using the Hololens. What do you think?
