Gmail has a lot of features few people actually know about. Here are the five most useful ones that you need to know about right now.
- Multi-tasking in one window
Gmail allows you to do more than one thing in a single window. For example, you can both email a person and send money to another, from the comfort of your Gmail account.
- Unsend emails
Let’s face it, who here didn’t wish to unsend an email at least once in their life? I know I’ve been there more than once. Be it an incredibly risky email that you sent due to a bad idea, or just noticing a typo seconds after you press send, the reasons for wanting to unsend an email are many. With Gmail, you can actually do that. Just active the Undo send button in Setting and select a time frame during which the option is available.
- Archive emails while sending them
With Gmail, you can archive emails while sending them by just clicking the Send & Archive button. This will help you declutter your inbox in no time.
- Use Google Drive for attachments
You can attach something straight off of Google Drive with Gmail. When composing a new email, you have the option to attach files to it straight from your computer, or from Google Drive. And seeing how Drive is an excellent alternative for storing things so as not to take up too much space on your laptop, PC, smartphone or tablet, this comes in handy often.
- Delegate access to your account
This feature is particularly useful for business emails and such. You can assign someone, such as an assistant or otherwise trusted person, to access your account and performs various tasks on it.
