The Taiwanese multinational computer company has announced six ZenFone 4 models, which so far seem to be very similar in interface and specs.
What is known so far:
So far the list of the new smartphones includes the ZenFone 4 Max, the ZenFone 4 Max Pro and two Max phones with large battery lives. Independent of the very confusing name and similar specs it seems that the ZenFone 4 variants have different focus points. For example the ZenFone 4 Seflie is a device focused on selfies, while the ZenFone 4 pair is focused on high end specs.
Specs and features available
The ZenFone 4 pair is focused on battery specs. The devices will use 5.000 mAh batteries which will offer a long battery life. This battery will be paired with Snapdragon 425 or 430 processors, 2/3 GB of Ram and 5.5-inch HD displays.
There are some differences between the ZenFone 4 Max and the ZenFone 4 Max Pro. The cameras are different; the ZenFone 4 Max Pro has a 16 megapixels camera on the front and 16 and 8 megapixels on the back. The ZenFone Max has a 13 and 5 megapixel sensor on the back and 8 megapixels on the front. The operating system is expected to be the Android 7.0 (Nougat).
The ZenFone 4 Selfie is expected to include a 20MP selfie camera and a 120-degree field of view. The ZenFone Selfie Pro will offer a Snapdragrom 625 SoC and 4 GB of Ram, while the ZenFone 4 Selfie will use a Snapdragon 430 and a dual SIM tray.
Asus announced that the smartphones will first become available in Asia and later into the rest of the world.
