Come fall, we are likely to see Apple launching three new iPhones that will be the immediate successors to iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR. The 2019 iPhones that are being dubbed ‘iPhone 11’, are expected to follow Apple’s usual launch patterns and premier this September. Foxconn, the official manufacturer of iPhone’s hardware, is on a hiring spree to get ready for the launch. It is also offering bonuses to existing employees who are willing to return to manufacture the new line of iPhones.

A one-time bonus to return to production lines

According to the Economic Daily News, as a reward for renewing contracts, existing Foxconn employees are being offered a bonus of RMB 4500. Foxconn is on this hiring spree to meet the production of over 75 million iPhones that Apple has placed an order for. This news comes after the forecast that the sales figure of ‘iPhone 11’ will almost equal the 2018’s sales numbers. Foxconn has also cut down on employee trial terms to a month.

The Shenzen based company will reportedly manufacture two iPhones in the ‘iPhone 11’ series – the successors of iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The cheaper LCD model, the iPhone XR, will be manufactured in India in around 15,000 numbers every month.

Selling points: ‘iPhone 11’ series

These three iPhones which will come out in time for the holiday season will carry several high-end features. 5G baseband modems, OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) Displays in the high-end iPhone XS and XS Max devices and LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) in the cheaper iPhone XR model, possible 3D sensing cameras on the back, and virtual reality features are a few of the many features that these iPhones will carry. The 5G baseband modems are expected to bolster cellular download speeds to levels never seen before.

According to several online reports, the iPhones will be launched in three screen sizes – 5.4″, 6.1″ and 6.7″. At least two models will have 3D Sensing camera with AR/VR capabilities.

With the hiring-spree on, let’s hope that Apple’s sales skyrocket this September.
