The tech giant plans to launch up to 3 new phones by the end of 2018.
One of them will succeed the “X”, one will be bigger, while another will resemble 2013’s 5c, being a cheaper option for buyers.
It is said that the X-successor will sport the same display as the previous one and the large version will have the 6.5” screen.
A tech-head youtuber said that the cheap model will also carry a screen with a notch, like the X and have a 6.1” display. Meanwhile, others say that the cheap version will have an LCD and not an OLED panel, which can be found in the current iPhone X.
Resemblance to Samsung
Apple stated that the devices will be available with storage options up to 256GB, while TrendForce spread the rumor that Apple might surprise us with a whopping 512GB, like the new Note 9. This would show their eastern rivals that they are up for the challenge.
When the new Samsung phablet was first unveiled, the company stated that, at least for now, deleting apps to free up storage would be a thing of the past, while mocking other devices.
New iPhone models might come with 4GB of RAM, except for the budget version, which is said to only sport 3GB and have a maximum capacity of 256GB. This way, Apple possibly wants to differentiate between their phones and make users who buy premium models feel more special.
Like every year, the tech giant will release its next big thing in September, therefore, customers waiting to get their hands on the new device won’t have to wait too long.
