If touch ID isn’t working on iPhone 6, the first thing you should do is clean the home button. Also, your fingers always need to be clean and dry when using touch ID. You need to keep your device clean, because many times, dust and dirt go right under the home button, where the sensors are. Every once in a while, wipe your device with the clean and dry cloth.

Some users have reported that touch ID problem on iPhone 6, can be solved when you leave the finger on the sensor longer than usual, for about 15 to 30 seconds.
