Apple announced the much-awaited iPhone 11 just a few hours ago. The launch event that lasted for just over two hours saw Apple releasing three of its iPhones namely iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max apart from a new entry-level iPad and the Apple Watch Series 5. Several leaks and rumors that have been doing the rounds for so many months have finally been put to rest today.
iPhone 11 Specs and Features
Apple iPhone 11, the base variant, is the cheapest iPhone of this year 2019. It has several new features that are not found in any other smartphone released so far. The brand new camera setup at the rear has two cameras placed in a new arrangement. The new features that have been added to iPhone 11 include Dolby Atmos support, Spatial Audio, and additional battery life.
The phone will have a 6.1-inch Retina display and the chip that will power the phone is the latest A13 Bionic chipset from Apple. This is supposed to have the fastest ever CPU and GPU among all the phones in the market, claims the Cupertino giant. The iOS 13 brings several new features including Haptic touch support, Apple sign-in, and Dark mode to name a few. A few software features include Portrait mode (enhanced), Smart HDR (next-gen), better Night mode, etc.
The most upgraded part of iPhone 11, when compared with the predecessor iPhone XR, is undoubtedly the camera. The new iPhone 11 has a 12MP wide-angle sensor as well as a 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor with a 120-degree view. The dual-camera setup at the rear is supported by another 12MP sensor at the front for selfies. The front camera is capable of capturing 4K videos and slo-mo videos too. Another upgrade from iPhone XR is the battery and Apple claims it would last one hour more than iPhone XR.
Regarding the color variants, the iPhone 11 is all set to come with six attractive colors namely Green, Yellow, White, Black, Red and Purple. Apple iPhone 11 will be available in two more storage variants namely 128GB and 256GB apart from the lowest 64GB storage on offer. The phone is priced at quite reasonably at just $699 for 64GB variant whereas the 128GB and 256GB variants will be priced at $749 and $849 respectively.
In addition to iPhone 11, Apple also released iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Fans can pre-order all these phones starting this Friday, September 13, in more than 30 countries.
