While Apple launches a new series of iPhone every year, the budget-friendly iPhone SE doesn’t get upgraded that often. There are many users who have stated that Apple should give as much importance to the SE models as it gives to the more expensive ones that get upgraded every year.
A lot of people who wish to own an iPhone but are on a budget, opt for the iPhone SE. If the SE models get upgraded more frequently, it would also attract those who prefer to invest in electronic devices that feature the most recent technology apart from being light on one’s pocket.
Finally, this year the iPhone SE is all set to get a major upgrade. According to recently published reports, the next-generation iPhone SE will bear a very sleek and modern look. The phone will have minimal bezels and expected to be slightly lighter than the last released model. If reports are to be believed, Apple will announce the launch of the third-generation iPhone SE in the next couple of months.
As of now, the next-generation budget smartphone is touted to get a release in April 2021. Because of concept renders, one now has a fair idea of what the design of this model is going to be like if it gets a more modern look.
The second-generation iPhone SE, which came out last year, proved to be very successful. Though it was not as small or compact as the earlier model, it was lapped up by a large number of people. The popularity of the model can be gauged by the fact that its sales figures turned out to be much higher than what the trade had predicted before the launch. Perhaps, the humungous success of the model encouraged Apple to come up with a new model this year too.
No leaked images or renders of the device have surfaced so far but according to Mac Otakara, the third-generation iPhone SE will be launched alongside the latest version of AirPods Pro.
Going by the material published on their website, one realizes that some prominent changes have been made to the upcoming iPhone SE model. The design could bear some resemblance to the iPhone 12 mini. Some of the expected similarities include the presence of a punch-hole front-facing camera and a single rear-facing camera module.
A leak pertaining to the iPad mini 6 pointed towards the possibility of Apple implementing the device’s display style in some of its other products. The iPhone SE 3 could also retain the Touch ID option with the help of a fingerprint scanner merged within the power button.
The concept renders also suggest that the iPhone SE 3 features a 5.4-inch OLED screen, which happens to be much larger than the one we see in the last released model of the iPhone SE. Like the earlier models, this one too will be powered by the same chipset.
