Apple has now officially announced the AirPods Pro with the new design and ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) features. It has been priced at $249 and will be available to buy from offline stores starting 30th October, which is today.
Ahead of the release, the Apple AirPods Pro was leaked with the charging box of the device being leaked first. The leaks proved to be true as the new AirPods Pro is redesigned from the previous generations of AirPods. The AirPods Pro is a huge leap from the previous generation of AirPods with features such as Noise cancellation, Siri Integration and more. This technological leap is the reason why they are being called the AirPods Pro instead of AirPods 3.
AirPods Pro Color Options
Recently, the color options for the upcoming AirPods were supposedly leaked by a Chinese news website Economic Daily News. According to the report, the upcoming AirPods Pro was likely to come with 8 color options with some of them being Black, White, and Midnight Green. However, this leak didn’t prove to be true since the AirPods Pro has been launched only in white color for now.
Along with the leak about the color options, the Economic Daily News report also contained feature leaks like noise cancellation and water resistance. This leak proved to be true as the AirPods Pro features Active Noise Cancellation that will block the ambient noise using two microphones. The AirPods Pro comes with rubber earbuds that help with noise cancellation.
AirPods Pro Features and Release Date
The new AirPods Pro features two different modes for audio output – Noise Cancellation and Transparency. The modes can be switched using a pinch gesture on the stem of the AirPods Pro which is detected using a new force sensor.
The new force sensor also allows the users to play, pause, next music and pick up, hang calls right from the AirPods Pro. The AirPods Pro also features an H1 sensor like the Powerbeats Pro and Beats Solo Pro and it allows you to use Siri right from the AirPods Pro by saying “Hey Siri”.
The AirPods Pro has the same battery life as the AirPods 2 but the battery life reduces to 4.5 hours when the Active Noise Cancellation mode is turned on. The new design also makes the AirPods pro resistant to sweat and water.
The charging case of the AirPods 2 is wider than the regular AirPods charging case. The earphones have a rubber tip which helps in noise cancellation and grip. They also have a better audio output and frequency reproduction than the previous generation AirPods as indicated by the ‘Pro’ tag.
