SpaceX, Elon Musk most ambitious project, is trying for some time to land a rocket on a floating platform, but so far, all attempts resulted in a failure. After last month he carried out a mission in which he managed to bring a rocket ashore, SpaceX now tried to land one on a floating platform.
The reason SpaceX needs to bring these rockets on the floating platform is that they will not have enough fuel to return to the point at which they were originally launched. Now, in the context of the last test carried out, the SpaceX rocket managed to land on the platform, but the end was not a happy one. That’s because one of its legs was not properly activated, and the rocket crashed on one side and exploded.
Even so, the incident did not affect Elon Musk very much, which published the following tweet: “Well, at least, the pieces were bigger this time! Won’t be last RUD, but am optimistic about upcoming ship landing.” Indeed, constant progress is observed, and the next attempt of the company might result in a success.
