Three different options
The connection between vehicle and smartphone is easier using Android Auto Wireless if your phone supports it. Pioneer said that it is part of JVCKenwood now, giving tech receivers. Google deals with the first part. The AVIC-W8400NEX, -W6400NEX and -W4400NEX are the three models which can be connected by using USB or wireless. Also, it supports both Android Auto and Apple.
The screen dimension and type of touch make the difference between the models. The AVIC-W8400NEX has a 7-inch display, W6400NEX has a 6.2-inch display and the W4400NEX has 7-inch long-lasting display. The prices are $1,200, $800, and $700 and they can be bought by now.
How it works
The application features a driver-friendly interface with large buttons and intuitive menus. The information is presented in the form of cassettes, just like in Google Now. Voice commands can also be used to control the navigation system, send short messages or start the music.
Google Assistant and Siri may be used on the receiver, so while driving you can turn on or turn off the home lights, thermostat or garage gates. They represent the new tech in this domain, including all you need to feel comfortable and safe. It also has cameras for the back of the car, GPS (from Here maps) and many other intelligent components.
Google Pixel, Pixel 2 or Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P are a must for using Wireless Android Auto. Then Android P will go smoothly, if it is compatible with Android devices from LG, Samsung or other big companies.
For those who have not already used Android Auto, the app provides a short guide. You need an Android 5.0 operating system or a newer version to be able to install it.
