Amazon Fire TV is set to change the shopping experience of its customers as Amazon adds e-commerce abilities to the Fire TV. While Amazon has withheld primary content as it is still working towards developing a fully functional shopping feature.
Amazon’s shopping experience on the television will still be limited and customers may not be able to access all the products as seen on the web or on its mobile application. As Amazon developers consistently enhance the shopping experience, Amazon seems to find the holiday season as the best time to bring its shopping features to the television.
The company is believed to be preparing to launch a TV channel which will run dedicatedly on the Fire TV platform to empower the customer with the ability to make quick purchases. Amazon intends to integrate online shopping and product placement into the on-screen TV.
Amazon’s step to bring the shopping experience to its Fire TV seems to be Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos’ intention to make money by having people use Amazon products and not just buy them. While the TV shopping feature is still going through the development phase, its launch shows that Amazon is eager to introduce its shopping features to the Fire TV users.
Amazon Prime is yet to be linked to the device however the fact that it has been introduced to Fire TV shows that the complete storefront will be available for the customers very soon as well.
